How do I get to the Wedding venue?
While the recommended hotel (Hyatt Palm Springs) is about a 1 mile walk to the venue we recommend Uber/Lyft or if you choose to drive there will be complimentary valet.
Can I park at the venue?
Yes! There will be a complimentary valet. There will also be an open bar, so if you plan on drinking we recommend utilizing Uber/Lift, or walking.
What should I wear?
Think cocktail chic. Dresses or jumpsuits work beautifully; suits or slacks with a dress shirt are spot on (ties, bow ties, and ascots are all optional). The “I do’s” are on grass—block heels or flats are your friends—then we’ll move inside for dinner and dancing.
Is there an after party on Saturday night? Where?
For those still looking for a good time after the main wedding celebration on Saturday evening, the *Unofficial* After Party location is Hair of the Dog at 555 S Palm Canyon Dr Suite A111, Palm Springs, CA 92264.
HOW DO I GET TO the SUNDAY BRUNCH POOL PARTY?
Hosted at the mother of the bride's backyard #DesertOasis located at 40231 Calle Tepeyac, Indio, CA 92203.
Important: You must direct yourself through a different address to enter the gated community. Access at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Sun City Blvd immediately off I-10 (map pin here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/PDLzYXs1PhAPSueR8). Drive up to and check-in with the guard shack by providing your name and telling them you're headed to Laura Lehn's at 40231 Calle Tepeyac. Then drive through the community to the house (marked by silver and blue balloons out front) and park anywhere along the street!
Do I have to stay at the Hyatt Hotel?
You do not! While we'd love to have all our favorite people in the same place (and conveniently close to the wedding) you're more than welcome to stay wherever you prefer. Room rates elsewhere may be higher. With the exception of the Sunday Brunch Pool Party all events are designed to be within close proximity to classic downtown Palm Springs. Come for both the wedding festivities and Palm Springs sightseeing as well, if you wish!
Where should I fly into?
We highly recommend flying into Palm Springs (PSP). Even if you have to connect, we think it's worth it to skip the drive. Plus it is an amazing airport with an open-air design and beautiful views.
If you do choose another airport, you will definitely need a rental car. Ontario (ONT) is about a 1 hour and 15 min drive. Hollywood Burbank (BUR) is about a 2-2.5 hour drive, or up to 3.5 hours in bad traffic. Los Angeles (LAX) is the option most vulnerable to bad traffic at anywhere from 2.5 to 5 hours drive. (If you choose LAX, check below for the best times to drive).
I'm flying into LAX. How long is the drive?
Los Angeles: the city of dreams, the Dodgers, and traffic. While it’s notoriously painful, traffic is also surprisingly predictable—driven largely by the commuting patterns of working Angelinos.
Leaving from LAX at 7-9AM, expect a 3-3.5 hour drive to Palm Springs.
Leaving from LAX at 9AM-12PM, expect a 2.5-3 hour drive to Palm Springs.
Leaving from LAX at 12-2PM, expect a 3.5 hour drive to Palm Springs.
Leaving from LAX at 2-7PM, expect a 4-5 hour drive to Palm Springs.
Leaving from LAX at 7PM or later, expect a 2.5-3 hour drive to Palm Springs. (The later the better for traffic).
What if I have another question?
Please text Lizzy at 209-573-3200. You could text Andrew, but she's more likely to know the answer.
Will Lizzy be taking Andrew's last name?
Yes! Although she might still be professionally known as Lizzy Lehn. Everyone needs a pseudonym.
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP by February 14th.
Once clicking on the RSVP tab, please search by your full first and last name, and you be able to respond for everyone in your party. If you have any issues, please reach out to Lizzy (209-573-3200).
Do I have a plus one?
Unfortunately, we are limited by venue space constraints. The names of all invitees are included on your invitation. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to one of us (we might have missed something)!
Can I bring my kids?
We love your little ones! However, due to venue capacity constraints, we've planned an adults-only celebration to give everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the evening. We've made a few exceptions for children in the wedding party, but otherwise kindly ask that guests arrange childcare for the night.
If you need assistance finding a sitter, we're happy to share contact information for wonderful local babysitters and services—just be sure to book in advance. We hope this gives you the perfect excuse for a well-deserved night out!
If your kids come with you to Palm Springs, they are absolutely welcome to splash around at the Sunday Brunch Pool Party and celebrate with us then!
Do I have to provide "The Knot" with my email address?
If you do not want "The Knot" to have your email address, de-select the box "Send me an RSVP confirmation by email" at the end of the RSVP questions, but then make sure to still click "Send RSVP" so we have an accurate guest count!
